Our Story
SwiftComply’s story begins when our founder, Mick O’Dwyer, was a wastewater engineer at Dublin City Council. Faced with a growing fatberg problem, Mick saw how outdated processes and strained relationships made it difficult for regulators and restaurants to work together.
Mick responded by creating Europe’s first Fat, Oil & Grease (FOG) program. The impact was immediate and over time resulted in a 95% reduction in fatbergs across the city.
That experience shaped his vision for SwiftComply. In 2016, Mick founded the company to help cities and businesses solve compliance challenges side by side. What started as a single FOG system has grown into a complete water platform supporting hundreds of communities across North America.

Mick was tasked with launching Europe’s first Fat, Oil and Grease management program in Dublin over a decade ago.
Dissatisfied with existing management solutions, Michael developed an entirely new platform to eliminate fatbergs.
Originally from Ireland, Michael now lives in Pleasanton, California with his wife Rosalie and their daughter Sophie-Rose.
