Marketplace Growth Manager

We are currently hiring a Marketplace Growth Manager with a focus on driving growth and activity on our two-sided marketplace (compliance vendors and regulated businesses). 

In this role you will drive marketplace growth, finding opportunities to improve marketplace health, growing our buyers and supplier activity in strategic areas. This role calls for someone with a combination of business smarts, operational excellence, growth hacker attitude and marketing prowess.

We are looking for a scrappy, data-driven person with operational experience who knows who knows how to move quickly, work cross-functionally, take smart risks and leverage insights to drive outcomes. 

This role will suit someone who is looking to rapidly scale their career and grow personally and professionally in a fast-moving startup environment. You will be joining on the ground floor, at an exciting time -  we have a great product, strong results from beta testing, a unique customer acquisition channel and a recently closed a Series A funding round. The company is backed by some incredible investors, including former CEO @ Opentable, former CEO @ Myspace & COO @ Facebook, and Techstars Ventures. 

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Driving business growth and CLV by leading levers across acquisition, retention and activation
  • Evaluating insights about our customers and key business drivers
  • Developing and executing on growth initiatives
  • Using data to inform planning, forecasting and reporting on business outcomes
  • Develop and improve go-to-market playbook

You Should Have

  • Bachelors’ Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, analytics or related experience; high-growth or early-stage start-up experience is a plus

  • Approaches work like an owner. You can be handed a tough problem with limited context, ask smart questions and move things forward with little additional direction.

  • Obstacles are problems to be solved and overcome, not a reason to delay progress. You will need to figure out how to get things done with incomplete data, lack of resources and objectives which shift as you learn. 

  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to dive-deep, summarize, and clearly communicate important data

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with expeditious execution in a fast paced environment (think 80/20)

  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and communicate with senior leadership 

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized

Location

This position is located in Portland, Oregon with potential for remote-working (within the USA time zones) for exceptional candidates.

Bobbi loves the idea of helping customers in the water and wastewater industry by using technology to build tools that allow for better ordinance compliance.

After a decade, she swapped coasts to join UberEATS in Portland, Oregon where she assisted restaurants to incorporate new technology to grow their businesses. SwiftComply allows her to work with city governments, communicate with FSEs, and use technology to simplify environmental compliance.
