Product Owner

We are currently hiring a Product Owner to join our growing organization. 

The primary purpose of this role will be to collaborate with the product manager and the customer success and development teams to build products that our customers truly love. The product owner will use a balance of hard and soft skills to elicit customer needs and understand technical challenges in our ecosystem as we launch new product features, test their performance, and iterate quickly. This person will serve as an internal customer expert for engineering, answering questions and clarifying requirements, and will work closely with the product manager to review the product roadmap and make sure priorities are aligned.

They must also have excellent interpersonal skills and be passionate about helping our customers with their organization’s unique challenges.

You should also be an expert in Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) control and Backflow Device Compliance (Just kidding - but you will be soon!). 

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Quickly learn our technical products and industries served. 
  • Work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Manage the product backlogs for our SwiftQuote and XC2 product lines; triage incoming requests, work with the support team and prioritize incoming feature requests and bugs.
  • Participate in requirements research and definition for new product lines.
  • Analyze data, both internally and externally, to inform the product roadmap. 
  • Select and measure success metrics, analyze the output, and report progress.
  • Drive team initiatives and embrace the start-up mentality of taking initiative & helping with tasks outside of defined job responsibilities. 
  • Minimal travel required. 

Personality and Skills

We’re looking for a detail-oriented self-starter who is comfortable working with ambiguity. Must have excellent technical, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Strong organization and time management skills needed. Minimum 2 years Product Owner experience working in SaaS environment. 

Our company is a primarily remote, with small offices throughout the US, UK, and Ireland, so strong digital communication skills are key. A drive for success, willingness to learn, and flexibility are also imperative. We want someone who wants to grow with SwiftComply. 

Bonus points for:
- Experience with water / wastewater software

Marketplace Growth Manager

We are currently hiring a Marketplace Growth Manager with a focus on driving growth and activity on our two-sided marketplace (compliance vendors and regulated businesses). 

In this role you will drive marketplace growth, finding opportunities to improve marketplace health, growing our buyers and supplier activity in strategic areas. This role calls for someone with a combination of business smarts, operational excellence, growth hacker attitude and marketing prowess.

We are looking for a scrappy, data-driven person with operational experience who knows who knows how to move quickly, work cross-functionally, take smart risks and leverage insights to drive outcomes. 

This role will suit someone who is looking to rapidly scale their career and grow personally and professionally in a fast-moving startup environment. You will be joining on the ground floor, at an exciting time -  we have a great product, strong results from beta testing, a unique customer acquisition channel and a recently closed a Series A funding round. The company is backed by some incredible investors, including former CEO @ Opentable, former CEO @ Myspace & COO @ Facebook, and Techstars Ventures. 

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Driving business growth and CLV by leading levers across acquisition, retention and activation
  • Evaluating insights about our customers and key business drivers
  • Developing and executing on growth initiatives
  • Using data to inform planning, forecasting and reporting on business outcomes
  • Develop and improve go-to-market playbook

You Should Have

  • Bachelors’ Degree

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within consulting, strategy, business development, operations, technology, analytics or related experience; high-growth or early-stage start-up experience is a plus

  • Approaches work like an owner. You can be handed a tough problem with limited context, ask smart questions and move things forward with little additional direction.

  • Obstacles are problems to be solved and overcome, not a reason to delay progress. You will need to figure out how to get things done with incomplete data, lack of resources and objectives which shift as you learn. 

  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to dive-deep, summarize, and clearly communicate important data

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with expeditious execution in a fast paced environment (think 80/20)

  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships and communicate with senior leadership 

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; extremely organized

This position is located in Portland, Oregon with potential for remote-working (within the USA time zones) for exceptional candidates.
