Welcoming ComplianceGo into SwiftComply
Mick O’Dwyer, Founder & CEO
Today SwiftComply acquired ComplianceGo. Here’s why it matters.
Before SwiftComply, I was a wastewater engineer and compliance program manager. I lived the problem we now solve every day. My work was scattered across spreadsheets, paper forms, and a patchwork of tools that were never built to talk to each other. One system for FOG. Another for backflow. Spreadsheets holding pretreatment together. Stormwater off in its own world entirely.
The tools were never the real problem. These programs share data; they overlap in jurisdiction; they’re usually run by the same overstretched team. Yet the technology forced everyone into silos. I started SwiftComply because I believed there had to be a better way.
Stormwater is one of the fastest-moving areas in compliance right now. EPA scrutiny is intensifying. MS4 permits have tougher conditions. PFAS source control is pushing stormwater and pretreatment teams to share data like never before. The ground is shifting under everyone’s feet, whether you’re a municipal program or a commercial operator, and too many are still trying to keep pace with manual processes and fragmented tools.
We established ourselves as a leader in stormwater software when we acquired CloudCompli & NPDESPro last year. ComplianceGo builds on this foundation, with stronger field tools and deep expertise in the commercial and industrial stormwater space that broadens who we can serve.
When I met Ryan Dickson, we hit it off immediately. The alignment on our shared mission to protect public health & the environment was obvious from the first conversation, and it was clear that we would be stronger together. Ryan and his team built software that the people in the field doing the work love to use by listening closely and designing around their reality rather than a feature list. That’s the same instinct that drives us. I’m genuinely excited to partner with Ryan and the ComplianceGo team and continue this journey together in service of our customers.
What this means if you’re a ComplianceGo customer: nothing about your day changes. Same software, same team, same support. Over time you’ll have access to a broader platform, at a pace set by what you need.
If you’re a SwiftComply customer: ComplianceGo strengthens what you already have, with better field tools and deeper coverage across the full range of stormwater work, from municipal programs to commercial and industrial sites.
And if you’re managing several of these programs across a tangle of disconnected tools right now, that’s the exact problem we’re chipping away at. One program at a time.
My goal hasn’t changed since day one. Help the people who protect our water cut administrative burden and raise compliance, without the friction in between. Every program, one connected place, technology that keeps pace with the regulations.
Today we took a big step forward.
To the ComplianceGo team and customers: welcome. I’m delighted you’re here.
