Celebrating National Backflow Prevention Day with the Water Industry in Buford, GA

Every year, National Backflow Prevention Day recognizes the testers, utility staff, and compliance professionals who help protect our drinking water. On Wednesday, August 12, The Water Tower will bring the backflow community together in Buford, Georgia, for the National Backflow Prevention Day Celebration 2026—a day of presentations, technology demonstrations, networking, and conversations that help move the industry forward.

SwiftComply is proud to be part of this year’s event, and we’re looking forward to connecting with the people who make this work possible every day. Industry events like this are an opportunity to learn directly from utilities and backflow professionals, share ideas, and better understand the challenges shaping backflow programs today.

Visit SwiftComply at National Backflow Prevention Day

We’ll be at the event throughout the day as a booth sponsor, and we’re excited to have Brock Sheehan, Product Manager at SwiftComply, presenting at 9:30 AM.

Getting the Most Out of the SwiftComply Tester Portal

Brock’s session will walk through the SwiftComply Tester Portal from a tester’s perspective, covering report submission, search features, best practices, and a demonstration of the newly released replacement assembly workflow. He’ll also share what’s coming next for the portal and leave time for questions and discussion with attendees.

Along with leading product development at SwiftComply, Brock holds tester and cross-connection control certifications, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges professionals face in the field. Events like this provide an opportunity to hear directly from users, learn what’s working, and bring those insights back into the product.

You’ll also find Danny Maguire, Customer Success Manager, at the SwiftComply booth throughout the day connecting with utilities, backflow professionals, and testers, answering questions, and learning more about the challenges teams are facing in their backflow programs.

Whether you’re attending Brock’s session or stopping by the booth, we’d love to hear about your backflow program, the challenges you’re working through, and what’s top of mind for your team. We always appreciate the opportunity to learn directly from the people doing this work every day.

Why This Work Matters

At SwiftComply, we believe compliance teams do their best work when they’re focused on protecting public health, not buried in paperwork.

Today, more than 700 utilities across 45+ U.S. states and Canadian provinces use SwiftComply to help protect more than 50 million people through better compliance management across backflow prevention, stormwater, industrial pretreatment, and FOG programs.

Closer to home, the City of Atlanta used SwiftComply to eliminate more than 60 hours of manual administrative work each week, allowing staff to spend more time protecting the community and less time on paperwork. As Atlanta Backflow Manager Ahmad Cade shared:

“SwiftComply is a game changer for our backflow operations. The software automates our most time-consuming tasks and ensures we are working with accurate data.”

That’s what we’re bringing to Buford: an opportunity to celebrate the professionals who help protect our drinking water, learn from one another, and continue building tools that make their work a little easier.
